I found the job! I’ll be working as a tour guide. Not guiding tours to famous places like the Great Wall or Tiananmen Square, but picking clients up from the airport, helping them get onto the right bus, helping them check into hotels, helping them get to and from the games, helping them find their way around Beijing, etc. It will not be glamorous, but will get me all over the city, and possibly some nice connections:)

I’ve finally actually worked up a few pieces, so when I settle in a place for more than a minute, I will actually have a stack of material to rehearse!
Well, it was REALLY expensive, so we stayed half the time we had budgeted for it, but it was a blast. It’s really nice to be back in China, the land of cheapness, though. We didn’t get to spend a ton of time anywhere, but we did meet some awesome people and see and do some awesome things. We haven’t been everywhere yet, so we’ll do it again in a bit!
