lose 100 pounds
Lost 105 lbs since Jan 1. 17 months ago

I was just like millions of other new year resolution makers on Jan 1st who committed to losing weight and starting a healthier lifestyle. Well, rather than becoming another failing statistic, I stuck to the resolution and have lost 105 pounds in 7.5 months. This is equivalent to 14 pounds a month, which everyone can do. However, you have to be 120% committed. This means when hunger of Kroger birthday cake, Pizza Hut, or Taco Bell creeps its ugly head in, you have to fight it. Trust me, it is worth it. I started at 320 lbs and now at 215 lbs. I love looking in the mirror. Not naked though because excess skin needs toning, which is something you must consider. Tone with muscle training as you lose the weight. I neglected this part. I go to the gym twice a day for 30 minutes each. Started walking on treadmill at beginning of diet at 2.6 mph and 0% incline because I was so out of shape. Now I do 15% at 3.6 mph, and I can jog at 4.6 mph for 20 min continuously before side stitches set in. So starting off slow is common. You build strength and will find “stepping up” your workout to be fun and exciting everyday. I also swim at the local beach and recently bought a bicycle that I ride religiously. I went from wearing 5XL shirts to XL and from 48 waist pants to 36. I think I will fit in 34 soon.

My point to this is that if I can do it I really feel anybody can.
