Once, many years ago, I had a dream where the sky was filled with Moons (Earth’s Moon, many of them, any many of them were very big). It was daylight, I was standing on a beautiful sandy beach, looking at the sky, and one great portion of the sky was occupied with one large Moon, accompanied with many smaller ones, it was so beautiful, I am so grateful that I was allowed to remember this dream. It partially made me who I am today.
It was this very dream that made me appreciate digital space art and virtual space landscapes. I collect images and wallpapers that remind me of this dream, and that come as close to the real thing as possible.
This dream made me want to travel to space; to look at the Earth from above, its glorious blue outline, and to feel the exact emotions the astronauts must be feeling when looking at the Earth.
Another big dream of mine, is to be able to land on the surface of any of the Jupiter’s moons, and to be able to see Jupiter, covering most of the visible sky; it’s putting tears in my eyes and it’s filling me with awe, just thinking about it. I wonder what would I be feeling if I could get a chance to actually be there, in person, and I suppose this feeling would be the strongest emotion one could ever have.
I don’t expect to ever see Jupiter, but travel to space could be possible one day, maybe cheap enough to travel just once… Maybe to become my Final Destination.
The next best thing would be virtual reality technology that would seem to you as real as it can be.
