I tried for years in Chicago to exercise 3 times a week, but it always involved going to the gym since I’m not a jogger and I’m scared to bike in the city (for fear of getting hit by a car). When I moved to LA suddenly I had a new option open up to me: hiking. There are plenty of hills here to hike up and down, and I can hike in the dead of winter because the weather is so mild. And it’s free, so I never have an excuse not to go. I guess I just had to find the exercise and the locale that best suited me.

finished my first-ever feature-length screenplay on Christmas Day. I was euphoric to get it done. Now I’m working on the 2nd draft. I need to trim about 20 pages, so it’s kind of tedious, but I’m excited that I’m able to say I have a completed screenplay under my belt.
Such an amazing concert! She is so tiny and I can’t believe so much power and noise comes out of her little body. :) here’s a great review of the show: http://laist.com/2007/10/16/pj_harvey_orpheum.php
