I have been a daily Python and Zope/Plone programmer for over 6 years and am very drawn to Ruby on Rails. Remixing elements in web applications is great but the weight of Zope is draining.

How I did it: Decided and within 3 weeks was getting off a plane, collected my rental car and off on the road from Frankfurt. Visited over a dozen medieval villages in France and am now sitting on a beach on the French riviera. Last night was a wonderful meal with a beach view and today's luch was in a cozy cafe in Saint Tropez visiting with a charming French family. Amazing time and my definition of a life lived passionately. I will do this again … Read how I did it…
I have been a *nix and Windows user for over 15 years and never had the opportunity to go Mac. For the first time I did not have a laptop provided by my employer and needed to buy my own laptop. I bought a Mac and could not be happier.
Everything just works!!
No more installing drivers ans fighting software. This is such a pleasure.
Jumped on my bike in Boulder Colorado, worked a summer in New Bern NC, then rode up to NYC. Virginia was OK but riding through the Cotswolds in England was so much better. Welsh hunting lodges, Seaside Castles in Cornwall, Monkeries in Belguim, then Santa Claus in Holland. So many wonderful adventures and so many more to be had. I skiied in the Swiss, French, & Austian Alps, and rode the hills of Tuscany and the Riviera. Slept on the beach in Cannes during the film festival, partied on Ibiza for a crazy drunked week, and picked grapes near Sevilla in Antalusia. The time riding through Morocco were a bit of a for some reason but it was all good.
Definitely go!
