I got the metal roof put on the house this passed Sunday (mostly anyways… still have a few trim pieces to put on, but it’s all sheeted). I’m going to be finishing up the loose ends this week (hopefully) and putting the windows and exterior doors in this weekend. Hopefully the soffitting and siding won’t be that far off. After that, it’ll basically be done on the exterior. I haven’t updated my photos recently, but I’ll try to do so sometime in the next few days.

How I did it: Mainly, I just did it. I've been on this site for not quite three years, and during that time I've followed many people who have had this goal (and similar goals). But I didn't initially jump on board. I worried that I didn't have time or that my entries wouldn't be good enough. I made excuses. But eventually I decided that I needed to start focusing on the positive more.... so, I did it. I don't always… Read how I did it…
How I did it: I got the idea for this one night when I was trying to decide what book to read next. Books have been a very powerful driving force in my life. I wanted to see what others read and value. It worked out beautifully. Read how I did it…
How I did it: For the most part, I just decided that I was going to have a good year, and I didn't let my excuses hold me back from doing and experiencing new things this year. Read how I did it…

I was raised as a Master Mason. Took a lot longer to get it sceduled than I originally thought it would. It was a wonderful experience and has opened up a whole different world for me.
“A master at the art of living makes no distinction between his work and his play, his labor and his leisure, his mind and his body, his education and his recreation, his love and his religion – he hardly knows which is which. He simply pursues with excellence what he is about and leaves others to determine, whether he is working or playing. He himself always knows, he is doing both.” – Wilfred A. Peterson
