“A master at the art of living makes no distinction between his work and his play, his labor and his leisure, his mind and his body, his education and his recreation, his love and his religion – he hardly knows which is which. He simply pursues with excellence what he is about and leaves others to determine, whether he is working or playing. He himself always knows, he is doing both.” – Wilfred A. Peterson

How I did it: Mainly, I just did it. I've been on this site for not quite three years, and during that time I've followed many people who have had this goal (and similar goals). But I didn't initially jump on board. I worried that I didn't have time or that my entries wouldn't be good enough. I made excuses. But eventually I decided that I needed to start focusing on the positive more.... so, I did it. I don't always… Read how I did it…
How I did it: I got the idea for this one night when I was trying to decide what book to read next. Books have been a very powerful driving force in my life. I wanted to see what others read and value. It worked out beautifully. Read how I did it…
How I did it: For the most part, I just decided that I was going to have a good year, and I didn't let my excuses hold me back from doing and experiencing new things this year. Read how I did it…

Well, the house is completely framed up. Took four days, but all the walls (interior and exterior) were built and the house was sheeted with 5/8 OSB. We’re supposed to set the trusses and try to get the house blacked out (OSB on the roof and the black paper put on) on Sunday. I’ve got some more photos up, on Flickr, too. A lot has happened. I’m very excited and thankful that we’ve got this thing rolling. It’s been a lot of work, though.
Here are some updated photos. It’s got everything that has happened from this point back to the beginning.

I’ve updated my photos (and will do again as the progress this week continues).
A lot is happening… and it’s all turning out very well. I’m tired (worked an 11 hour day on the house today), but it’s very exciting.
