After four years I wasn’t sure what to expect from my trip to Japan: would it make me feel sad and just miss it more? would my friends remember me or care that I was there? It’s not like we kept in touch very well by email. Would I remember how to get around and where things were? Well it was all great. I loved being there, my Japanese started coming back after only a day or two, and I saw so many wonderful friends that I missed. One of my ex-students has met the girl he wants to marry, another few friends have had kids since I left. A couple of bands I really like had broken up, but I saw three I like and it was awesome to see them live after so long. I also finally got to visit the Budokan, something that would have been on my list of 43 things when I was 15, if 43 things had been around then. Going back to somewhere you lived and loved is a wonderful experience. I highly recommend it.

How I did it: I browsed, checked out how other people wrote their descriptions, etc, and thought about what makes me more interested in one item over another similar one.I followed the rules and made sure that my descriptions were accurate and noted any flaws in the item. My rating has stayed at 100% positive as a result. Read how I did it…
My list was so small for ages. Pushing myself to add goals until I had 43 was good for me, because I had to really spend some time exploring what I wanted to do in several areas of my life. I’m not immediately replacing accomplished goals now, but I think just before the new year I’ll think about what I was to work on in 2008 and take the list back up to 43 again.
I did open a shop (http://www.cafepress.com/glitterart) and I’ve even had a few sales. I think the best part for me was realising that I could create designs that people like, but there’s no denying I’d like to see more sales in the future. Now I’m trying to learn more about promoting the store and getting the designs to be more known.
