Things are going very well. I have a good job, good expendable income, money in the bank and money stashed away for retirement. But it took a LONG time…I probably started this “financial reorganization” effort six years ago and only got very serious about it in the past two years. Short books like “The Automatic Millionaire” gave me some good ideas, as did financial management TV, such as “The Suze Ormann Show”. Most importantly, I’ve gotten to the point where putting money into savings, my 401(k) and paying my bills is very simple, or automatic – this seems to make all the difference.

Letting go...
I finally learned that sometime you have to let go and that part of being a good manager is being able to empower your people to do things. Nobody likes a control freak and you can’t take over the entire world all on your own, particularly in the business world. You need to build a good team that can support you and that you can depend on.
Getting there...

I learn day by day, but not there yet. Not sure if I will ever get this off my list.
