The trick is in the tongue. Get your mind out of the gutter and pay attention: Use your fingers to curl the tip of your tongue upwards so that you are blowing air over your tongue tip through your circled fingers. I use this mostly at concerts, but also to get people’s attention. While you are learning, be careful not to hyperventilate, kay? I have yet to use this to actually hail a cab though :)

I went to Florida with a cool group of interfaith kids from my highschool town. I learned how to put up drywall and I got to know my crew really well. Take the chance if you get it!
Swing dancing is classic good clean fun. HAven’t done it in a while, but I’m sure I’ll get back into it at some point. It’s great exercise and builds a lot of confidence in your body, your rhythym and your general coolness. If you’ve got a chance, get out and try it. And wear a skirt. Or at least cool shoes, depending.
