I didn’t bother checking this off for a long time, but the redesign is up at: http://neatfocus.com/
I cut off a bunch of fat from the previous version of the website and got everything down to a single page.

The DVDs have made it easy to catch up on the few older episodes I’ve missed. I’ve been watching the show pretty religiously for many years now.
I won’t listen to the people that say The Simpsons’ time is over…
I have minimal PHP knowledge (As in, I can usually tweak and customize certain scripts to act/function how I want), but I’d like to be able to create some websites that interact with a MySQL database, have users sign up for accounts, etc.
Can anyone point me in the right direction for books that make it easy to learn? I’d like to get through the basics in less than a week, if possible, so I’m not looking for those 1000 page books. Or if there are some detailed websites with examples, that would be great, too.
Thanks!
I finally got around to upgrading. It wasn’t as easy for me because I had done some customizing here and there, but I think it’s all working fine now.
These are nice! I just went on a 5 mile walk (half of which involved rain pouring down on me). My iPod and the Etymotic ER-4’s held up nicely—I couldn’t even hear the rain, just the music. It blocks out a large amount of sound, which is exactly what I want.
Some people have reviewed that it’s uncomfortable for them, but obviously everyone has different shaped ears and ear canals. I couldn’t even feel that I had them on after my walk.
There we go, off my list!
I’m going to create a PHP script that just pulls the year from the server so I don’t have to keep updating it for each site every year. I’ve been manually editing it for each website since 1997 or something.
I try not to drive much. I didn’t want to become too dependent on a car, so I still walk to most places.
If someone were to look at my school records, they would probably come to the assumption that I’m terrible at spelling.
But really, Mac OS X is just MUCH better. Let me check the uptime on my 1.33Ghz PowerBook…
17:55 up 29 days, 3:24, 2 users, load averages: 0.38 0.56 0.42
It’s been on for 29 days (I close the lid and put it to sleep when I go to bed). I think after day 2 or 3 on my PC, the computer pretty much comes to a halt and EVERYTHING becomes slow.
Just putting aside some money right now. But if I get this new client and the sale price is still in effect, I’m definitely buying.
Ohterwise, I’ll have to settle for a pair of Senheisser PX200’s, which are much cheaper. And I don’t like settling…
I figure I should add some goals on here that I can actually check off. Drinking more water and walking more are great goals and all, but they’re not likely to get checked off because they’re things that you should do for the rest of your life. And it’ll depress me to see the same goals staring back at me every time I check my list.
I just got back from a nice walk and paid off my $2.25 that I owed the library in late fees. Now I guess my goal is to not get anymore late fees, otherwise I’ll have to add this to my list again.
It was real sunny out today, so I walked a little over 5 miles. Hope the weather keeps up. Unless I get lazy, then I hope it rains so I have an excuse…
My girlfriend and I started it, but for the past few weeks it’s been staring at me from the side of my desk… I will finish it someday.
My room used to be a huge mess. But after you tidy up the first time, it’s much easier keeping it clean and organized.
I bought one of the new Roomba models a couple months ago (it’s a robot that vacuums your floor) and it’s also helping in it’s own way: I keep the floor clear so that nothing will get trapped in the Roomba when I run it once or twice a week while I’m out of the house.
I guess it’s slightly different… People under “get an iPod” can obtain them through means other than “buying” (example: a present, stealing, making their own from scratch and violating many patents and copyrights along the way).
Well, I’m listed as doing both because I did “Buy an iPod” (the 40Gb 4th generation). Makes it seem like I’ve done more than I actually have. And I’m all for that.
I don’t think it makes a big difference in the amount of visitors I get. I doubt many people are searching my name on Google (I do see it occasionally in my website stats, but only a couple times per month).
That will be my profession one day. The most I’ve won is $22 or so, with my girlfriend, but that was from a scratcher. Haven’t won a single thing from anything like the Super Lotto.
Got my first one back in 1999, I think. I was 13 or 14 years old. Extra geek points for me, I guess.
