I can’t even remember the last time I smoked! I’m so damn proud of myself – i’m the bomb. My husband told me that only 7 percent of people that smoke can just go cold turkey. Well, I can honestly say, “I QUIT.” I did it. It’s been a long time since I smoked. I know to never, ever do the “just one” thing..it’s a slippery slope….

One month down - rest of my life to go
Well, it’s been a month! I feel proud that I did this. I still have an occasional craving – when I feel some stress the thought, “wow..i need to smoke” still enters my head, but I quickly try to push it aside. The only problem is that it’s hard to stick to my diet right now. I do think the smoking helped squealch the cravings for food. But I’ll just have to deal with it. I just think that even one cigarrette would put me back over the edge, so I just have to stick to going “cold turkey.” It’s a slippery slope. I can’t really say “I’ve done this.” It’s too soon – but so far, so good.
