I did this in 1997. It dumped rain for the last 6 miles, but it was still an experience I’ll never forget. The cheering throngs on the sideline really keep you going!

I ran this almost every year that I lived in Atlanta. Its always lots of fun if you can stand the heat.
If I want to run Boston, I first have to be able to run a half-marathon, then a full, then finally a full at a reasonably fast pace (8:30 miles, I think) so I can actually qualify for Boston. So… this year I’ll do the half, and if that goes well I’ll do a full next year. So far so good.. I ran 5 this weekend for my long run, and will do 6 next weekend.
