The Query Challenge: 2007/ 2008

I signed up for Kristen King’s 2007 Query challenge where writers are challenged to send out 120 queries (including submissions).
As of Feb 15, I’ve managed 1 query and 4 submissions. A grand total of five.
Got a lot of catching up to do!
Udpate in 2008: Sent 62 queries in 2007.
Signed up for the 2008 challenge. Going very well,for now (29 queries in mid-Jan.)

Freelance writing is hard work, but it’s such joy when you have something published!!
I’ve written my whole life but have just got my act together and have started submitting to magazines and newspapers. I’ve just broken into two paying markets and boy, this year I’m determined to have 50 published clips!
I’d recommend www.newbie-writers.com for help,advice and market listings.
