For many, writing a book is goal. For many more, how to do it is a mystery. Many complain they just don’t have time to do it. My friend and fellow author, Brian Hilliard, responded to one such person thus: You don’t have time to write a book? You think I have time to write a book? Who does? No one has time to write a book! You just do it! All you need is a writer’s butt. You just sit on it and write! So, there you have it: the secret to reaching your goal!

I became fluent in Spanish in 1977 while living in Maracaibo, Venezuela. I’ve been teaching Spanish professionally since 1987. In 2004, I coauthored Vacation Spanish: A Survival Guide for Mexico, the Caribbean, Central & South America (including a Brazilian Portuguese chapter) with Worldwide Multilingual Phrase Book author Eric Dondero.
