How I did it: In Taekwondo tonight I broke my first board!!I watched the young kids break boards…I thought, “piece of cake…”. Then they brought out the adult board…..almost 2 inches thick, and a REAL board….like the type you make stuff out of!Harder than I thought it would be, but I did it and my hand is still in one piece…a little bruised, but worth it! Amazed I could do it! 1 minute ago Read how I did it…
How I did it: I researched grantwriting online, wrote up my federal grant then took it line by line for editing. I put in a few sleepless nights to get the grant out the door....basically my grant was "my baby" for a few days....I took it everywhere. I did not take any grant training prior to writing this. My efforts and landing the grant opened new doors, and now I am on a federal grant review committee at the national level! Read how I did it…
How I did it: Surrendered my fears. I accepted an opportunity to travel (which I hate the flying part) and went on the trip. My going resulted in an incredible job offer and chance to relocate to a dream destination, and numerous all-expense paid invitations to speak around the country. I would have missed it all had I refused to go due to fear of travel. Read how I did it…

My son feels confident making:
Fried eggs
Omlettes
Chili from can
Hardboiled eggs
Frozen pizza
Baked apples
Scrambled eggs
So…7 things down…36 things to go!
Finally, a system that works!!
I got a 4-drawer rolling cart from an office supply store and labeled the top drawer- “bills”, second drawer “to file/important”, third drawer “to shred” and bottom drawer “to recycle.”.
New unopened mail gets put on top of the cart, bills go in the top drawer. When one gets paid, it goes to the second drawer with “paid” written on it to file. Envelopes and ads automatically go in the bottom recycle, while anything sensitive (credit card offers) go in the to shred. When they get full, I empty/shred. Otherwise it is low maintenance!
