How I did it: I simply made a brainstorming list of 43 activities which I enjoy. This was hard at first for me, as I have spent so much time lately in "mom" mode that I forget about what I really enjoy myself. Once I got going, I realized many of these items I should either be doing regularly, or planning events around so I get to enjoy them! This list will lead to many future goals, and helps me to refocus some priorities. It m… Read how I did it…
How I did it: Kept the house relatively clean on a weekly basis, and invited people over! This goal got too easy for me and I have been having so many folks over now I am dropping this goal off my list. It was good to get the routines jump started though!! Read how I did it…
How I did it: I am still doing it....every time I see him on TV I say a silent prayer that God may bless him with wisdom and good judgement, protection and that areas where he might be wrong, he would have the humility to change heart if something was revealed to be other than a current stance. He has a difficult job at hand, and whether or not you are an Obama supporter, we should be praying for our leaders. Read how I did it…

This is so fun! I sat down this morning and cranked out 1,826 words, already over my goal. I figure it is good to bank a few more in to save up for those uninspiring days! Maybe I will write more tonight if I am inspired to do so. I know I am going to have a lot of editing to do when this is all through, but writing in chunks I am hoping to do a lot of rearranging of story parts and further development after the November deadline!
Well, thanks to H1N1 complications, my list has been delayed a bit…good thing it wasn’t too ambitious!!
Completed things so far are crossed off:
1. Comfort food. Cook pot roast, some squash and roast veggies, Octoberfest foods, -chili and cornbread-, biscuits and some good hearty fall salads
2. Set up my tea station. I hadn’t been drinking much tea over the summer, but it is time again! I need to restock my teabox, and my cocoa closet with fresh selections, and most importantly, MARSHMALLOWS and whipped cream!
3. -Put away summer clothes and bring out the sweaters!-
4. Go for at least one nature walk, and bring a journal, camera, and binoculars
5. -Visit the pumpkin patch-
6. Start making baked apples as snacks!
7. -Make my farmer’s market run for apples and pears-
8. -Bring out my fuzzy socks-
9. -Bring out the extra blankets and strategically place them around the home-
10. -Light some fall scented candles-
11. Take at least one trip…maybe Columbia Gorge
12. -Overhaul my goals-
13. Host Thanksgiving
14. Buy a bird feeder
additionally, we
15. -Roasted Marshmallows and enjoyed a crisp autumn night!-
16. -Enjoyed some late cut autumn flowers-
