43 Things blog entry: My friend reminded me that I have done something towards this goal. I attended my first birth. Baby Jared is about a month old now, but that experience is still so fresh in my memory. I don’t think I will ever forget how amazing it was to be there with my friend Kim when Jared was born. I would love to pursue this but I think it will have to wait until my own children are older. I also learned how difficult it is to plan your own life around a birth because really there is no control of how long you will really be. When Angelina is no longer needing me as she does now (breastfeeding), I think I will start with the course. I have already looked into it and I’ve probably already done some of the recommended reading with all the books I read on birth from the Midwives library and from our LLL library. I am just so fascinated by birth. It would be a privilege to be share this with other mothers and getting paid for it would just be a bonus :)

43 Things blog entry: I’ve never felt so good about many things that I’ve done in my life as my experience of having Angelina at home- it was so wonderful! If we do have another baby, I would have deliver at home again.
43 Things blog entry: I do all I can for my kids. I am mostly unselfish in my decisions as a parent. I breastfeed #1- that’s the greatest thing I can do to give them a good start in life beyond just loving them. And I love them so much and tell them all the time. I spend time with them. I play with them. I am a good example to them as a Christian. I do get impatient sometimes but I don’t think this makes me a bad mom at all, just a real person. And I explain it to my girls and talk about our feelings. I still would like to be a better mom. Just like being a better Christian. There is always room for improvement. So I forge on doing the best that I can. I try to learn all that I can to be the best that I can and I am not afraid to make changes to be better. Wishing other moms the very best as they share this endevour with me.
