out today when couriers tried to deliver 2 parcels – one was left with my neighbours who were out when I wen to try & collect today. The other has been taken back to the main post office 8 miles away for me to collect. I really need to get one of those secure delivery boxes for people to leave stuff, if i’m not around. i also wish my Dad would let me know what it is that I need to buy for him from Amazon, instead of saying “it’s far too early to think about Christmas yet..”

How I did it: Took stuff home from evening class to work on at leisure. Didn't bother trying to throw pots on the wheel there. not enough space to store them so that they would be ok to work on the next week. Worked up some ideas of what to make beforehand, so I could make best use of time in class actually working on stuff. Read how I did it…
How I did it: Simplified a lot of stuff in my life, so that I am not such a ball of stress anymore. I feel more able to appreciate what I have and pay attention to people around me. Main things I did were:- Downshift my job so I am not so stressed & striving to make more money- Live somewhere that has enough space that I can invite people to visit- Get involved in more community stuff - village life, children's gardening Read how I did it…
How I did it: Made the effort to do a little extra travelling when visting family & friends to spend a little time, even if only 10 mins actually standing on the beach Read how I did it…

wow – you really need deep pockets to be eco friendly. Our house is very difficult to insulate, as it is non standard consturuction, (flat roof, so no loft; not got 2 layers of brick so can’t cavity wall insulate, or will get damp in the gap; single glazed windows) so it is going to cost a LOT. Not really an option to leave it as is though, as it is very badly insulated. Going to have to make some compromises somhow on life to afford all this though…
But I’m not done yet.. I saw a really good sale with some unusual bulbs, so i’ve bought some more. So not done yet. Doh
