No kidding… It was bought by my family back in the 1970’s… Mom adored that car- I learned to drive in it- we kept it, Mom said i’d inherit it someday, but when I finally did the poor old thing was lookin’ her age. It’s still all-original, paint, interior, and slant-6 engine. A lovely notchback too.
Really though, I aught to just sell it to someone who can afford to spiffy it up, and SHOW it. It’d be a winner in a heartbeat. sigh

Note about Bento’s, if you have never done them or don’t know what products to start with:
Jim LOVES a food called a “mochi”... they’re rice-dough, around red bean paste that is sweet. His favourite flavour is “pineapple” but he has liked all of them so far. (except kiwi. apparently that was a no go.) ...they also come in a generic red bean paste flavour, with all sorts of wheat or grain doughs…
Also, a big hit for him has been the dried squid- it’s like jerky, not gross at all… little white-ish pale meat strips, like shredded jerky… very yummy, he says!
For me, a cookie called a “cocoa puff” is a big hit… they’re not overly sweet, and despite the name, they don’t taste chocolately. They’re like a tea biscuit, only not so sweet… and the cocoa powder inside is mild and more cocoa, less ‘chocolate’. :) YUM.

Packing some lunches, and just gathering things together- Jim’s found a sudden LOVE of a little yummy thing called a “Mochi”... if you can get to a japanese store, you can buy them. Uwijimaya up here, carries a HUGE range of them. They’re basically rice paste/dough buns with red bean paste inside… only they come in LOTS of flavours. TONS of them, in fact! His favourite so far has been pineapple- but not all are fruity or sweet. Some are herb flavoured, etc… Another huge hit? Edamame. (soybeans boiled in the pod, then brushed with butter and sea salt, and served as an appetizer so you eat just the little soybean/peas from inside!) We found good bento-box alternatives for now, in the form of ‘lock lid’ style containers. :) So far, so good!
