Hadn’t been on 43 things in a while and I had forgotten that I wrote about wanting to attach the trail-a-bike to my bike and then the trailer behind that. Well, now it’s summer again and we are doing just that. It’s not hard at all really, or not hard in the way I thought it might be, making turns or just staying upright, it’s harder to pull of course, but that’s ok, I just go slower. I just wanted to have an option for when it’s my and my two kids going around town, not long distances. Today, I took them to a birthday party this way, which was about 2 miles away. That’s really the farthest I even need to go to run errands, take the to the park, pool, friend’s house, etc. so it’s really pretty practical to ride out bikes.

just read my last entry and I’m kinda bummed to report I did not get anything sold during the month of December. Maybe it was unwise to expect that to get done in a month of such long to do lists already. The desk (which is an armoire that can close up) was actually used to hide santa presents, and then to hide wrapping supplies when they were not in use, and then even though all that stuff is out of there, somehow more things creeped in when we were cleaning up for the girls’ birthday parties. Such a disappointment really, cuz it took so long just to clear it out…but it’s not a big deal, it’s not as if it’s full of paperwork and other desky things like the last time I cleared it. It is just a few things that will take much less time to clear in terms of decision-making.
Ok, so I’m back on the desk-selling project, need to clear it out, including the stuff that is on top of it. Fix the one small broken piece, take pictures of it, and then get it on Craig’s list.
In better news, my husband and I installed lots of hooks all over the house this past weekend, for coats and backpacks by the back entry, for pajamas and other miscellany in the girls’ bedroom, for robes in the bathroom, for sweaters and belts in our closet. So exciting, it’s so much easier to stay uncluttered when you have places to put things. We also hung a light fixture in our bedroom, ending two and half years of staring up at a bare bulb.
well, we managed to go through all the coats, hats, mittens, scarves and winter boots before the cold weather finally came in (just about a week or two ago), and I donated a couple coats, a pair of snow boots, and a few other small items. I have also recently donated several bags of my own clothes and a big bag of toys and misc. household items. Some of the clutter is creeping back somehow though…I really want to clear out some more toys before the Christmas onslaught from the grandmas, aunts and uncles.
I still need to repair one thing on my desk, take pictures of it and sell it on craig’s list. I think I first wrote that 3 months ago and I still have not done it. I also have an antique buffet in the garage to sell. I would love to get these both sold before the holidays, and then the money can go towards christmas shopping. Ok, that’s my new goal then, get those two things sold before Dec. 10th (but sooner would be better).
