I started using the “Getting Things Done” approach by Dave Allen which I adapted to my unusual life style.
I have a book where I keep a record of all the things I plan to do each month, as well as a smaller book of things that I might do someday maybe. Then I keep my diary of things I have done.
And I note when distraction takes me away from whatever task is at hand and for how long I am distracted. All in all, I complete more and procrastinate less, and time seems to flow with me, rather than me raging against its tides.

Its actually more like two years since we left our established homes, got in the car and packed the dog and headed off. We have stayed for long sections of time in three different parts of South Africa, and at each place we have met wonderful people and enjoyed different natural wonders. Its been fantastic. Now I am torn between continuing our adventure or finding a little home somewhere where I can grow my own veggies and have all my books available.

It really helped doing a one day course with a professional photography and to have someone else with a Nikon D90 that could show me the really simple basics that somehow eluded me.
