learn to drive a manual car
Just Like Riding a Bike 2 years ago

I have been driving a stick for a few years now and still kill it at red lights on occasion. Sticks have better gas mileage and some people just flat out prefer them to automatics.

Anyways, it took some time driving around a parking lot and jerking around and killing the thing it seems like hundreds of times, but eventually you just get better and better, like riding a bike.

It’s much easier for me now. Of course people still insist on stopping WAY too close to you when you’re at a stop light heading uphill, which means you have to gun it so you don’t roll back into them, but that’s just part of the fun of driving a stick.

get a Wii
Got One Through a Trade 2 years ago

I traded my Sony PSP and Gamecube (which is included in the Wii because of it’s backwards compatibility). I am LOVING my Wii! It is the best system I’ve owned yet.

Something cool about the feat of obtaining a Wii is that this is one of the goals I gave up on before. I had to reinstate it and claim that “I have done this.” It just goes to show you that no matter what you think is unachievable, sometimes things just sort of happen in your favor.

Life works both ways. Be grateful for the good and be patient during the negative times.

go on a "ride along" with a cop
Great experience! Highly Recommended! 2 years ago

I have been on several police ride-alongs with our local sheriff’s department and they have all been very memorable experiences. I highly recommend this to anyone (whether they, like me, are interested in joining law enforcement at some time in their lives or are just curious about being on the other side of the flashing lights).

During my experience (I can’t give too much information) I was in a car traveling 125 MPH down the interstate and was along for many different calls that required the siren to blare overhead and for everyone to scatter out of our way.

It is an excellent experience as I’ve said. Most communities have some form of ride-along program while others have Citizen’s Police Academies where you can learn police work and then afterwards tag along during an officer’s shift.
