My cuticles are healing, and I’ve been filing down jagged edges and applying copious amounts of lotion. Happy about this right now…

How I did it: Rideshares are Craigslist are an amazing way to get places, everyone. You'll meet some interesting folks, probably get smoked out. You'll talk to vegans and runaways and get offers to go hang out in probably sketch places with almost certainly sketch people. You'll drink Merlot and not spend a great deal of money on gas. It's okay if you miss the first part of the parade... getting up before noon is for pansies, anyway....more or less how… Read how I did it…
How I did it: Simply. Funly. On the beach. In bed. Alone and around other people. During sunset. At 3:00 AM. Awkwardly. Animatedly. With lust and boredom and disgust and the instinct to please. Read how I did it…
How I did it: By being awesome. Okay, not really. After 19 years as a nailbiter, I kind of got sick of the infected ugly stumps that were my fingers. Even marking this goal as "done," I still acknowledge myself as a nailbiter. It's like a heroin addiction except that, you know, it isn't at all. But really- by committing to not doing it. Oh, and also by eating actual _food_ when bored/stressed instead of pieces of myself. Huh. Don't reccomen… Read how I did it…

New goal: totally healthy cuticles on BOTH hands and smooth edges for New Year’s.
So I was watching this movie the other day (it’s called The Fall, with Lee Pace from Wonderfalls who I still find awfully magnetic, and if you haven’t seen it you should) and the little girl in it was a nail biter. Just seeing her put her fist to her mouth was enough to get me imitating without even realizing it. It sort of made me wonder how and when I started this habit in this first place.
New nail goal: Don’t touch until the 23rd.
They’re all lovely and shiny red, mmm. Delicious.
