I admit it; I like the romantic comedies that Tracy and Hepburn did together best. “State of the Union” is a good movie and worth seeing, but there’s little of the humor and swift back and forth that I like about watching these two. A bit too much moralizing perhaps, but nothing out of the ordinary for movies from the 40s. It certainly was interesting to see Angela Lansbury in a role like that.
I’d give it a solid 3.5 stars out of five.

36. The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins
I never would have read this book if so many people hadn’t recommended it to me. Reading about dystopias is always strangely interesting.

I’ve never seen people have that much fun and chat so much on a long bus trip. Makes me wish real life was anywhere close to that interesting. Clark Gable is a riot as the newspaperman and Claudette Colbert is the perfect runaway heiress.
