I guess my new goal should be to read 24 books this calendar year. I’m at 17 currently. If I can finish 7 more, I’d have read two books per month. I know of at least 4 more Harlan Coben’s I haven’t read so that should make it easy. Then I’d just have to finish 3 of the 4 books I’ve been reading FOREVER.

How I did it: I decided in March to get it done. I got a reference to a surgeon from a friend I knew who had it done, he was happy with their work 2 years later, so I decided on them. I scheduled a preliminary visit in April, I saw my normal eye doctor next to verify exactly how much they'd need to correct my prescription, and then I scheduled surgery over Memorial day weekend. I went in Friday at 10am. 24 hours later I could se… Read how I did it…
How I did it: I just stopped promoting myself and let the work come to me. I'm taking classes throughout the summer, so any shows I book have to be on Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday or Sunday.I think I've got all I need. Read how I did it…
How I did it: We left New Jersey at 3am, and were in Toronto by the afternoon. It was about an 8 hour drive going there and about 10 hours returning. We actually missed a ridiculuously large snow storm by staying ahead of, and then out of it's range, and then returning after it was over. Our hotel was over priced,as were our parking fees at the hotel. Read how I did it…

So, since my the red cross wrecked my arm, I stopped doing the pushups, but I did join a gym. The good news is, I haven’t had any problems lifting weights. The bad news is, I have gained weight, and for some odd reason I can’t seem to do push ups anymore at all. That ain’t good. I’ve stopped working my arms to start doing the pushups again. I’ll only be doing cardio and leg stuff at the gym from now on. Looks like I’m starting over.
This sucks.
I passed the test, and the written evaluation, I have my oral interview scheduled for February of 2010. I also plan on registering for the Police Civil Service test in December of 2009 as a backup plan. The actual test wouldn’t be until the spring of 2010, so if I don’t pass the oral interview, I’ll have something to fall back on. These selection processes are really, really long.
