It’s been a long journey, but it’s almost over. Maintaining a gluten-free diet for the past two years has really made a difference. I cannot say enough about green juice. My juicer once sat in the back of a cabinet gathering dust; and now it has a permanent home on my kitchen counter.

How I did it: I had come back from vacation and when I started to go through the photos I had taken, I don't like the way I looked. I looked frumpy. I wanted to do something about, but I was not confident in what to purchase. Through mostly trial and error, I learned what looked best on me. I got rid of the clothes that were ill-fitting or out dated. Read how I did it…
How I did it: Drove out to a camping site located between East Hampton and Montauk. As a state park, it was affordable to stay out in the area. I was able to ride my bike out to town and partake in the fun! Read how I did it…
How I did it: I researched the websites of high end stores such as Saks Fifth Avenue, Barneys New York, Bergdorf Goodman and the like. I settled on a pair that were not too outrageous, but unique enough to justify spending $700 on a pair of shoes. Read how I did it…

I joined a knitting group to force myself to set aside time to knit. Once a week I meet up with the group for two to three hours. I’ve started making a headband style ear-warmer for the winter. It’s also great to see knitters for every level and have them share their stories. It is encouraging to hear the other knitters talk about their early experiences. It reminds me that even the most skilled knitters had to start somewhere.
I have been with my partner for over ten years. When we first started dating, I thought it would be me and him against the world. In the spirit of compromise, I put my hobbies on the back-burner; until I was no longer doing things that once gave me joy.
It took me a long time to figure out, it is a lot to ask one person to make you happy all the time. There is nothing wrong with having multiple outlets for your interests.
