Due to family illness, there’s been no way I could get this done in my spare time. I’ve had none for several weeks now and it appears this will continue indefinitely.
This sucks.
It took an absurd amount of time to force myself to do this. Why? I’m not quite sure. It’s only 444 words but I had more emotionally invested in it than the enormous amount of content I churn out daily on HoB or the code I write each day at work. Odd, that.
It’s short, but it’s a start.
Several months ago I wrote out the first part or chapter of a short story during a day-long power outage. I have procrastinated typing it up and sending it out to a supportive friend since then.
