Dear 43 Things Users,

10 years after introducing 43 Things to the world, we have decided we have met our last goal: completing the incredible experience that has been 43 Things. Please join us in giving one last cheer to all the folks who have shared their goals with the world, as well as all the people who have worked at The Robot Co-op to build this incredible website. We won a Webby Award, published a book, and brought happiness to a lot of people.

Starting today, 43 Things users can export their goals and entries from the site. Starting August 15, we will make the site “read only”. 43 Things users will still be able to view the site and export their content, but we won’t be taking any new content from users. We hope to leave the site up for folks to see and download their content until the end of the year. Ending on New Year’s Eve takes us full circle.

It has been a long ride (one of our original goals was to "build a company that lasts at least 2 years” - we beat that one!) While we wish the site could live on, it has suffered from a number of challenges - changes in how people use the site, the advertising industry, and how search engines view the site. We wish the outcome was different – but we’ve always been realistic about when our goals are met and when they aren't.

As of today, you will be able to download your goals and entries. See more about that on the FAQ page. Thanks for 10 great years of goal-setting and achieving.

Quick & Easy Goulash

1 pound ground beef
1/2 cup chopped onions
1/2 cup chopped green pepper
3 chopped cloves garlic
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon italian seasoning
1 cup water
1 can tomato sauce
1 can chopped tomatoes
1 1/2 cups macaroni

In a non stick skillet add ground beef , green pepper garlic , and onion.Cook untill the ground beef in no longer pink. Drain fat off. In a large pot add meat mixture ,tomatoes , tomato sauce,italian seasoning and water.Bring to a boil and add salt , pepper and macaroni. Lower the heat on meduim.Stir often.When the macaroni is done remove from heat . Let set 5 mintues before serving.

Candy Spice Sweet Potatoes

3 large sweet potatoes
1/4 cup packed brown sugar
1 stick melted butter
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
1/4 teaspoon ginger powder
1/8 teaspoon allspice
1/4 cup water
1 tablespoon honey
1 teaspoon milk

Peel sweet potatoes and cut into bit size chunks. Boil untill tender. Place sweet potaoes into a baking dish. In a bowl add the rest of the ingredients.Mix well then pour over sweet potatoes and gently mix together. Bake at 400 for 20 mintues then let set for 5 mintues before serving.

Ritzy Green Bean Casserole

12 ritz crackers
1 can grean beans (drained)
1 can cream mushroom soup
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 egg
2 tablespoon sour cream
1 teaspoon minced onions
salt & pepper to taste

Crush up the ritz crackers and sit aside. In a bowl add green beans , mushroom soup , garlic powder , onions , egg , sour cream, salt & pepper and half of the crackers. Mix well and put into a loaf pan. Top with the remainder of crackers. Bake at 400 for 20 mintues.
