I’ve change the goal to practise aikido which is much more relevant to what I’m doing now. I’ve already practise for more than 6 months already but only once a week so might take some time to be eligible to take the first exam.

How I did it: I made a promised to myself that I need to finish Al-quran and made me believe that reward is awaiting, if not in this world but at least hereafter. Try to read at least a page a day. Even if you're not good at it, Allah will still reward you. The best is to read with a teacher, but if no teacher is around, it's better to read than to leave it alone. Listening to recitation from your favourite qurani helps alot the way you're reading. Read how I did it…
Next month registeration will start to open.
I’ve received old book from my senior and start to check out some samples.
It’s going to be a difficult one.
I hardly recognised some of problems in the book since I’ve left engineering school 5 years ago. It made me realise I didn’t really pay enough attention in class.
Need to work hard if I really want to pass this exam this October. Hope I’ll have the passion, determination and strong to will to do this.
This month mark my 6th month since I’ve started Aikido. Yet it seem so far away to get the first level. I can only afford to attend practise once a week and somtimes I have to skip class.
Recently one of my seniors I admired got her first dan and we witness the moment she wore hakama. She was one of the first student in our women Aikido class to get that.
It was inspirational moment for us. Another of my senior said to me, “In the moment, lets just aim to wear hakama.”
I have to attend 30 days of class in order to get my first 5 kyu and wearing hakama seemed like a faraway dream, but I like this martial arts anyway and every step is one small step towards the goal untill you stop trying.
