ok so i have this same problem. i’ve had it for years. i started out biting my nails then i started biting my cheek when i was about 12. i always thought i was crazy because i’d never seen anyone do this before. i was scared to kiss a boy because i thought they’d be able to feel these sores in my mouth that i keep biting. then i got to high school and i saw a few of my close friends making the same face i always do, hand or finger pressed up against your cheek, lips all squished, and just biting away. i was like holy crap other people really do this? so i realized i wasnt a weirdo. then i actually kissed a boy for the first time (i was 16) and i realized then he couldnt taste the blood from my nasty cheeks.
but i was still concerned because i made the ugliest face when i did this. and it cant be good for you to be eating all that skin of your own. so i’ve tried many ways to stop. the only way that has ever ever worked was that orajel stuff. i know it sounds weird. its this stuff you use for toothaches that just makes your tooth or mouth go numb for a little. so if you spend all day putting it on the inside of your cheeks it doesnt taste good and makes your tongue numb and its harder to bite. so just try that. and you gotta pay attention to whatyour doing. if you cant just stop then puff up your cheeks when you notice your doing it so your cheeks dont touch your teeth. these two things have helped me stop before and once you stop you just have to reawrd yourself and dont start again.
and google cheek biting. it helps. theres a lot of people with this problem.
