Whilst in Cardiff last weekend had an hours lesson with Roddy Lewis. An hour is not really long enough but Rod did reinforce things that he’d said when we had a 5 hour lesson some months ago.
Also, whilst in Cardiff, I had the privilege of listening to Crispian Steele-Perkins perform with the Mozart Festival Orchestra. He played the Vivaldi Concerto for Two Trumpets alongside Tom Rainer as well as Let the Bright Seraphim with Natasha Jouhl. He was gracious enough to sign a copy of his CD for me too.
I’m hoping to go and see Canadian Brass on Monday so all in all I’ve got a lot of inspiration to get playing more.
