How I did it: I got a good trim and grew out my hair and took good care of it for 4 years or so. I used lots of good shampoo and conditioner. I was nervous about actually cutting it, though. I’ve been going to at least 4 hours of ballet every week, and I’ve incorporated more stretching into the blank space time of daily life. My flexibility has improved a lot. I have done the splits three times since I set this goal, but nothing more than that. I could only do it:
1. on the left side
2. after a few hours of stretching and exercise
3. when I wasn’t tired or sore
I am tired and sore most of the time. I will consider this goal completed once I can do the splits on both sides without a good deal of strain.
