At first, it’s tough because the syntax is almost the exact opposite (backwards) of English. It’s much easier for Japanese than German/French/Spanish.
It’s so scientific, you can improve very quickly.
You can learn the characters in 1 short day. Then you can read words without knowing the meaning.
Don’t learn English spelling of Korean words (e.g. Annyunghaseyo). It’s not worth it: you’ll have to undo all of that before you can advance.
A month with a proper teacher (OK…I learned it in Korea…not everyone has that opportunity) is worth 6 months of self-learning.
