Lyme disease in Australia

I was put off pursuing Lyme disease testing because the official line is that you can’t get it in Australia. More and more evidence is coming to light to suggest that this is not the case.

See:

http://lymedisease.org.au/about/

http://www.karlmcmanusfoundation.org.au/

and an article documenting local cases http://www.dovepress.com/articles.php?article_id=8891

Other information I wish I had known:

You don’t need to remember having had a tick bite
you don’t need to remember having had a rash
symptoms can be predominantly neurological rather than arthritic (particularly if it’s not from North America)
if you’ve had a course of antibiotics and it didn’t do anything, that doesn’t matter

Lyme disease

okay, so instead of doing this, I actually got a proper diagnosis. Lyme disease.

magnesium supplements and buteyko breathing. is this really all I needed in all those years of insomnia and sleeping in? It’s lasted about a month so far, fingers crossed I haven’t jinxed it with this entry!
