I used to have a very physically demanding job – I was a brewer at a microbrewery. Aside from all the back-aches, i was pretty physically fit. Then I left that austere profession to become a librarian. Now I do a lot of research, exploration, and so forth, but not as much physical activity. I joined the local community center, but there’s always an excuse to stay home, or do something else. I need to get out and get some exercise!

So far, so good, sort of...

I’ve learned some of the basic chords, and i spend a lot of my guitar time playing “with” my guitar rather than playing my guitar, if you know what i mean. I take little bits of things that i learn, and experiment the hell out of them, until i start getting frustrated with my limitations, then i’ll learn something else. I’ve got a dvd on learning to play electric guitar, but i haven’t watched it yet. maybe i’ll do that tonight – it’s due back at the library soon.
The novelty of publication

I’ve written three novels now, and i’m working on the fourth. I enjoy writing more than i enjoy trying to formulate just the write cover letter to attract an agent, editor or publisher to my work. Maybe i need a goal to write better cover letters…
