How I did it: Mostly, I just let my husband guide me while he sat behind me correcting my movements until I got the clutching right and felt comfortable with the weight of the bike. It's not very intuitive for most folks so it's important to be safe, wear a helmet and pay attention to your instructor. I never took the actual test. How I did it: I went to Mexico and rented a house and a board for a week and just went for it. The water was so warm and the break was nice and small. I had a blast. We try to go back every year. Next year I'd like to go to Honolulu. I've never been there yet. Read how I did it…
