I didn’t exactly get a new dog, but my sister got a dog Marathon and he feels like my dog too. Marathon is a really nice dog we got from the shelter. It’s nice to have a dog in my life again after we gave my old dog, Bruno, away.

How I did it: I've kept journals throughout my life, but I never really liked just writing in my journal. I started an art journal in 2008 and I've had at least one journal a year since then (usually more). Being able to do more than just write made journaling a better experience for me. I like that I can write, paint, glue stuff in, cut things out, etc. It helped me express myself more and I love journaling now. Read how I did it…
How I did it: I found a community online called Etsy (etsy.com) and it's been a great resource to sell my craft online. I make handmade journals and other paper items. I just opened up a shop one day and started listing items. It's a lot of fun. Read how I did it…
How I did it: I was originally planning on going on my own, but my college offered an "EL Seminar"/class on a trip to Italy. I applied and got in! We went a ton of places - Florence, Venice, Rome, Siena, etc. It was a lot to take in, but definitely worth it. Read how I did it…

I have an online portfolio of my artwork on Flickr and DeviantArt. I also post my artwork to my blog. Having an online portfolio has allowed me to share my work online and connect with other artists.
I started doing a writing prompt every day so I get writing a little every day. I printed out a bunch of writing prompts I found online, printed them out and cut them in to strips. I put the paper strips in to a jar and I pick one every day. Even if I don’t feel like writing, I force myself to do one each day and it helps me get ideas and allow me to develop my writing skills.
