I have been doing my morning routine fairly consistently, which really helps. I’m pretty good with my laundry routine (I have it planned to do one load a day, except for Friday) which has helped a lot (remember, I hate laundry). I’m doing okay with my bedtime routine (I’ve started brushing my teeth and other hygene stuff when my son does, it’s helped us both get in that habit) but if I could get into the habit of a) chosing my clothes for the next day and b) making sure everything is packed for the next day (lunches and bags) the morning would run a bit smoother.
My big issue is my afterwork / evening routine. It’s the eternal struggle – spend time with my son or clean house? It’s actually not really a struggle – my son wins hands down – but by the time he’s in bed I’m too tired to give a crap about the condition of the apartment. There has to be a happy medium, right?

My strength training habit has been haphazard at best but I feel like I’m eating better. While I did have a piece of coffee cake this morning I also had the equivalent of two servings of fruit (strawberries). I brought an apple for a snack. I’m craving chocolate but so far I’ve resisted. I’m good at rationalizing – chocolate is high in magnesium so it’s good for me on some level, right? LOL!

Last night I reviewed my daily routines and revised them to fit what I actually do. I will NEVER get up 1/2 hour earlier to exercise, so why keep it on my morning routine list? I moved it to my evening routine, when I’m much more likely to do it.
I’ve also created a “Declutter List”, a list of small areas of my home that I can declutter in a 15 minute period. My goal is to pick one area per day, corresponding to the zone I’m in, and declutter that area.
