and only looked back once (after separation) but wisely fought to stay on. You need to think about work as a priority, and fitting totally into the new culture – leave UK / US / HOME behind you, if you want to stay long term. It’s a frenetic, contradictory, dynamic, confusing, exciting, irritating ride – but if there is one thing I’ve done worth doing, this is it.
I have money enough – I want to prepare for my daughter’s future, and for my wife if I’m not here in the future – I wish I could go to sleep sure that they will be taken care of.
