went to the second game of this at the O2 last night, shame it was the ducks vs kings, even more of a shame the kings didn’t bother to turn up and lost 4-1, but would definately be up for it again (ideally seeing the ducks, flyers or devils losing or penguins winning)

the shamrock (not a clover) should not be put on top of a pint of Guinness as this is an English/American thing, and is punishable by means of a fork in the eye of the offender in Eiré.
It’s fine out of cans and bottles, although the original is better than the draught. The only Guinness that is wrong is Guinness extra cold

just leave the house for a day. i’m in my uni’s canoe club so whenever we go on a weekend trip i’m away from my room for two/three days, and i really don’t care about the computer. get yourself outside, away from the PC and you’ll not even realise you’re doing it

I like 24, and have so far been pleasantly surprised by how the writers have managed to bring jack back from wherever they left him at the end of the previous series. I think the film will be a stretch too far, even if it will add a touch of realism to the idea, and I think that Jack should return to his post of head of CTU at the end of the film, and allow someone else to take over as the focal character in the series. Normally i hate when this happens (see sliders) but as long as Jack remains in the show i think it’ll work

I’m a lifeguard, and part of the training course (and on-going training) is CPR. Whilst I am quite confident in my training I also feel that knowing how to perform CPR safely is a huge responsibility. Luckily I (like most people) have never been in a situation where I’ve needed to use this knowledge. To the person who feels ashamed for not knowing, with a 16 month old there are much more important things to worry about than CPR, so don’t feel ashamed. I think this site should give people an option other than “worth doing” or “not worth doing” as I feel this goal should fall somewhere in the middle.

...can be livened up by taking out your balls and juggling. It’s quite easy, the speed and inertia make no difference to the difficulty, the only problem was space. I advice people to do this if they get the oppurtunity (not whilst driving of course)

This year will see a prospectively record breaking game of canoe polo at hatfield water park near doncaster. In 2004 there was a 24 hour game, this year they plan to go one, nay two better by making it 26 hours. All money raised will be distributed between cancer charities and the above link has all the information you need about it.
