I was nervous about this b/c I think my ears are one of my best features so I didn’t just want anyone with a piercing gun to pierce them. God forbid they get infected or I develop some metal allergy (I really like the cheap earrings from target) that limits what earrings I can wear. But I went to Braindrops in SF and my piercer was awesome. No guns, by hand, and he took his time. I’m sure that it wasn’t one of the most exciting piercings he’s ever done but he took the time to do it right.

I take classes that I don’t need, that I don’t care about, that bring down my GPA, for what reason? No reason at all. I NEED to not do this anymore. I make harder for myself on purpose.
I thought that the immense emphasis that American society places on leaders was just so that schools can claim that the nxt president of the US came from their school or the nxt major CEO will contribute lots of $$ to their old alma mater. But I’ve realized that while those are definite benefits that are lurking in most school’s minds they’re just extras. Being a leader is having the confidence to stand up for what you believe in, having the strength to compromise, and having the confidence to find and guide people who will help you make your vision a reality.
