Yay!
I went to a yoga class last night!
It was great. Really relaxed and centred me – just what I needed.
It was an intermediate/advanced class tho and as I’ve not done any yoga for years I found I didn’t always know if I was doing a posture correctly. Was also a different style to what I’m used to (I’ve mostly done Iyengar in the past).
However, I did it and really enjoyed it!
Now I just have to keep going!

I did an eight week detox a couple of months ago and it was awesome!
I followed the plan in a book (the liver cleansing diet) which made it infinitely easier. It has heaps of yummy recipes. I also made a lot of my own recipes – just following the same principles (no sugar, processed foods, damaged fats, red meat or dairy).
I was amazed how easily I managed to stick with it. It started getting harder about week 5 or 6. I gave in maybe four times to a meal that didn’t follow the principles, then I continued with the plan. I lost heaps of weight and felt incredible – more energy, slept better, clearer in the head, better skin.
I highly recommend doing it.
I had to be more organised, but it just became habit after a while.
Since the detox, I’ve gone back to eating whatever and have put a little bit of weight back on. However, Im a lot more conscious about what I eat now and am considering doing another one – maybe a mini version tho!
Good luck!!!
I’m going to a yoga class this evening!!!
This will be my first class for many years. I’ve been wanting to get back into it for a long time and something keeps stopping me. I have a friend who goes to a class every week and she’s coming to pick me up at 5pm so I can’t back out.
This might sound weird, but I’ve been procrastinating going to a class because I feel vulnerable. I’m determined to push past whatever I’m afraid of and just do it.
I’ve achieved so much in my life and I’m afraid of a yoga class!!!
