Right now I’m looking at photos of my friends and finding at least one beautiful thing about them- even people that I’ve traditionally considered ugly.

How I did it: I went to the movie theatres with a friend, paid for my ticket, sat in a seat, and watched the screen for 2.5 hours while the movie played in front of me. Read how I did it…

I’ve been reading constantly, watching more TV, and talking to new, interesting people. Nonetheless, I still have a lot of free time on my hands. I feel like I never have time to do what I want, despite having way too much time. I suppose it’s like someone told me yesterday, “If you want something done, give it to the person who already has too much to do.” Meaning: someone who has nothing to do with get nothing done. I believe it. And for me to get anything done I need to work on a lot of things at once. I’ve been exploring new websites, opening up connections, and generally trying new things. Hopefully this will be keep me occupied. I’m optimistic, definitely. Just need to force myself to do things sometimes.
So, meeting new people on OKCupid has been very successful. I think I still need some practice to completely be done with the goal of meeting new people, but I’m definitely getting there. I’m becoming more convinced that there are people out there worth meeting and I shouldn’t get discouraged when there aren’t any at the moment.
