I had a gift certificate for a local day spa and decided to book a massage for this weekend! I’m so excited. Afterwards, I plan to veg out and watch brainless movies (or just sleep) to keep the relaxation going. I can’t wait!

I managed to scan another 4 rolls of 35mm film yesterday, bringing me to a total of 171 rolls scanned. ~49 to go!
I have about 220 rolls of 35mm film that I want to have completely digitalized. I bought a fancy film scanner in 2008 but I haven’t been to diligent about the scanning. Despite that, I’m currently up to 167 rolls scanned, so only ~53 to go. Not too bad, right?
Each roll takes a total of about an hour to scan because of the particular settings I’ve set on the scanner (high dpi, cleaning up dusty images etc.), but since each individual strip in the roll has to be fed manually into the scanner, it can take much more than an hour per roll unless I’m sitting at the scanner the whole time (not reasonable).
So, slow and steady seems to be the best mode of attack for this project. I hope to get this done by the end of June 2012.
