Outfits 2 days ago

I usually wear at least two to three ‘outfits’ a day (during the work week)...I have my work clothes I wear most of the day of course (skirt and shirt, dress, or ‘dressed up’ jeans. Then when I get settled at home I have my ‘home clothes’; usually comfy light fabric pants or shorts and a tee or tank and a pull over long sleeve when it’s cold in the house (have some really cute ones I have found on sale the past month; one is thin, but warm and has I’m a dreamer on it and the ‘dreamer’ part is beaded, another is a big peace sign with trees and such inside the sign, very soft and comfy. Then I have what I sleep in, sometimes that is the tee or tank or something else entirely.

I guess that number can go up to four if I have dressy work clothes on, then change into jeans, then later into the ‘home clothes’ then the sleep shirt.

I’ve had friends laugh and tease me about this, but it’s part of me and I’m not changing! :) Well I am changing, like four times a day…but oh nevermind. lol :)

Work 1 week ago

You know sometimes I complain about things that happen at work and sometimes I listen and nod in agreement to co workers who say things like “I don’t get paid to think” or “That is not my job” even though I don’t totally agre.

But today as I sat at my desk eating my granola and milk with a fork no less, because I could not find a spoon I realized I am pretty lucky. About 5 co workers walked by while milk drip between the fork tongs and not one said a word…or even took a second glance. How cool is that? And later we are having a going away party for a great co worker and instead of pizza or something like that we are making shakes and smoothies…yep pretty lucky.

SO even when things are unorganized or someone is complaining that they are not paid to think I’m going to remember that I* am lucky and *I love my job. Maybe I sort of make my own rules to a point… I don’t know, but I like it whatever it is.

Surprise! 1 week ago

Well I had an email today. I was copied in on it actually. It was to all the employees of a company I photographed a few events for last year. They were the majority of my photography pay last year! Anyway, it is an invite to all the employees and their families for to a ball game and talks about tailgating, activities AND it says family and group photos by Dana (me!). I had not been contacted, but it’s three weeks away and I am available…I emailed the contact and asked for more details. I’m shocked and excited.

I’ve also made numerous blank photo cards the past couple of weeks and ready to give them to the retailer that has requested to sell them in her shop! YAY me. :-)
