I like the words and I really agree with the chorus. I am sure there are a ton of other songs that fit me and maybe fit me better depending on the day, but that one always sticks in my head!

Most years are good, and so was this year! I love the time with family. The fun and laughter are just priceless. We always watch Home Alone at my mother’s with my husband and my sister. We still laugh out loud at the funny movie! Good times.
This year was very calm and relaxed, it was nice. Good food, good company! Things went well. The presents were nice, but the family time was what I enjoyed the most!
My husband gave me a spa certificate and I am using it this Friday!!! Can’t wait to get the body wrap and be pampered! :-)
Yep, having a merry little Christmas is worth it…Not just on Dec. 25, but all year long! :-)

I have not been in a few years but we would go with a group of friends and camp and just have a fun time!
The laughter never stopped, the sunburns went away…finally..but the memories are still there and still make me smile.
I think conoeing was fun, but being with a fun group is always fun no matter what you are doing!
I love the river and how clear it is always is. The water seems cleaner and more refreshing than lakes, etc. I think it’s time to try and plan another one of these trips one of these days!
Finally caught my husband at home and not too tired! We took pictures this year, since we have that great new camera. We took some funny ones that made us laugh all night long and we debated on mailing them to everyone as serious pictures…but I chicken’d out!
I think the one I picked says ‘us’. Of course I have added the funny ones to a few select folks that will enjoy it! :-)
I set up all these Christmas items and when we finally took the picture I forgot all about making sure the little tree was in view…but hey, they are in the mail today! FINALLY!

Looks like the kids had some fun sledding on this hill…. I will not bore you all with every picture I took yesterday! And no this is not the first snow I have seen, but I’m acting like it, aren’t I?!
One of my towns ‘main’ roads this afternoon…. This is so amazing and beautiful! I LOVE THE SNOW. this is the most we have had in a long time. (this picture has switched its self….weird. Obvisously not a snow covered road!!!!)
well we have a lot of snow today, and I took a moment to look out the office front door and I counted 54 flakes in about one minute…there are a lot of flakes out there! :-) I could have stood there for hours counting. But it was a nice short break while it lasted anyway!
(yeah this is not rain, but I doubt we get rain for a few months, snow is all I have right now, and I am actually loving the snow!)
I have been on them for a year now and I feel better than I have ever felt! I am off of two ‘regular’ medicines even!
I think vitamins are the way to go!!!

I go with my husband sometimes to his contracting jobs and we usually end up in the country and most of the people are barely living. I mean they seem to be struggling to just eat.
My point is – I was thinking about sending ‘secret’ gifts to some of them and not telling anyone. Is that weird or spooky? Or is it caring?
For example there was an older man, living alone, his house really needed work and he was telling us how he lives on his disability checks and $19 a month food stamps! $19?! COME ON people! That is insane, anyway he loves crafts and he had made a lot of things, he used to sell them when he was in California and a bit younger. He made these awesome planes out of old pop and beer cans! I thought he might enjoy some craft stuff sent to him….
I bought the new camera and I am loving it sooo much! I have to make a new goal and actually start posting some of them! :-)
I like this one…saw the sign and had to take a picture. This was taken in the middle on nowhere while with my husband last weekend.
My coworkers and I are focusing on donating a days worth of lunch money to a local organization or even www.worldvisiongifts.org
The lunch money thing is so simple. We usually go out to lunch, but this year we are bringing our lunch to work and donating the 10 to $15 we would have spent.
I sent the package off to the sponsored family Tuesday!! We had a pretty good little gift box for them, I wish it would have been more, but it is a start…I hope they enjoy the toys and books!
The letter writing group is gathering up Christmas cards to send to our senior citizen pen pals! I always enjoy that.
I know I know…cold weather is sometimes not something to appreicate. But I love the way the sky looks when it’s cold. the clouds look so low and so demanding. The air feels cleaner and thicker. I like how cold seems to cleanse everything. Everything is renewed…it’s the pathway to spring and new life right?
I appreicate the cold…I do wish of course that everyone had a warm place to snuggle at night…
Maybe some of you have seen this before, but I just found this cool website…I might have to start practicing random acts of kindness (RAK) more! There are some great ideas on this site.
