When I was growing up – I was such a tomboy and loved to fish with my dad, grandfather, and uncle. Even after I left home – I did a little fishing. I think the last time I really went fising was before I got married so that’s been over 26 years. My husband and I took our two oldest out once when they were young but I didn’t fish. All we caught was mosiqutes. LOL.
So yesterday while we were out, my husband bought us a set of fishing poles. Now to see if we can find the other equipment.

Some say this may not be the wisest choice – I don’t know. I have worked for this company for nearly 9 years. I am a worker – giving 150 to 200% all the time. I have pulled the weight of others and very little apprecition and no recognition. At first it started out with recognition but then over the years it didn’t seem to matter that you and one other person did all the hard, dirty work. You were the ones to pull the weight there. Even I pulled the weight of my supervisor. The final straw is there are new changes going on and she decided it would be physically too hard for her so she is stepping down. I put in for the position with quiet a few supporters. Friday I am told by my store manager that he is giving it to an outsider. Of course he tried to say his plans were to give it to me and move my sidekick to my position which would had been a step up the ladder for both of us. Then he says his boss wanted him to hire this lady – sorry I think it was a combition. He decided he has his two MULES there to do all the work and they will cover things while others stand around. My sidekick said from the start he would hire from outside for despite – he was so right. I told my store manager since there is no room to grow in this store since we are a small store then I had to move on rather it be a bigger store or a fresh start else where’s. He ask me to talk to my husband about it and I said I did. What he doesn’t know is that my husband has wanted me to leave there for almost a year now cause he says all he is doing is using you.
Some are asking me not to leave that the place will fall apart – I said they will handle it. I told them I am tired of being the mule. I have not officially put in the notice. My store manager had the nerve to ask me to show this outsider how things were ran in the back. Is he nuts – do it yourself (of course he has no clue) or have the supervisor that is stepping down to but how dare him ask me to. My supervisor has done little work with us and she should had since she took over years ago but her Mule handled it for her.
My sidekick always says “Your going to miss me when I am gone.” I guess they will really see how things are when we take the BIG step and say “Take this job and shove it.”
