I did this on my vacation in Cozumel. It is on the steep side but it is VERY amazing, I thought it was worth every penny.

I had a bunch of info from my Dad’s side and I’ve now got a bunch of info from my mom’s side, and boy is it a lot… including a possible kinship to never to be named senator (because it’s kinda embarrassing…) I’ve been putting it up on Geni for now because it’s so easy to add people. Eventually I’ll get around to adding more info to it but for now some basic name and relationship data works for me…

I guess you could say I “rediscovered” my donor card. I know I need to update my address and phone number, I’ll be sure to do that today…

I last gave in April and did what they call a “Double” which is just platelets… unfortunately I have to wait 112 days instead of the regular 56 before I can donate again. so when the last blood drive came around (June 5) they wouldn’t let me donate. Next one comes in Aug. so until then…

it makes it VERY EASY to use… it is kinda invasive, just so you know but it’s a nice in browser way to update all your bookmarks without having to use their kinda clumsy web interface…

until you realize you gotta start paying for your own gas… but it still comes in handy being able to go when you want to.

Would be to buy a GPS… I picked up a used one on Ebay for about 40 bucks. Not bad I guess, looks pretty good at least.

I got a promotion not to long ago (maybe under a year or so now) but I got promoted into a budget-limited job (when the budget runs out so does my job). Good thing it was funded for 3 years when I got it so I have a good bit of time to plan.

I’m getting a modular home. before anyone says I’m not “building” a house I am putting it on a full basement and Me and my family are building that by hand, block by block… we’ve actually been working on the basement for about a week now (few days here, few days there) and we’ll be making much more progress next week when we can really start working full time (to bad Thanksgiving is right in the middle of that week…)

My dad did this and put together a large family tree for me as a Christmas present. he traced his side back all the way to the immigration records (which would be my g-g-grand with the names of g-g-g-grand). I’d like to expand on the record he gave me and find out more about other relatives on his side but I’d also like to work on my mom’s side as well. I should ask her who in her family has worked on a family tree before (story is they stopped after they found out her side was related to George Washington Carver).

My city has a Segway tour and on opening day they had a little obstacle course set up for testing it out. It was a new XT and I was surprised how easy it was.

I actually live here so I don’t know if it counts… but There’s not another site I know of like the mountains with Fall colors or white with snow…
