Granted I am planning everything by myself for 6 people. BUT its really hard there is so much to think about. I have been working on it for two days and it is absolutly comsuming. I just wish there was more information on traveling (tips/tricks). There are people out there that have had to plan this before…. give me your knowledge lol. The expenses are outrageous but its once in a lifetime. I have already read Fodor’s (posted some comments on there web page to see if anyone there can assist) and another short travel book on Rio. There is also a ton of things to seee… its amazing. I almost dont want to go during carnaval because everything is so expensive and for half the expense we can go any other time and rent a gorgeous house out in Ipanema and seee everything. The city pretty much shuts down for carnaval. I dunno any and all suggestions are welcomed…. any brazilians out there who are willing to give me the inside scoop??

How I did it: Well I had to make sure it was okay with work.. which it was. I simply got up one evening and walked out the house and ended up at the peircing place. Took the bull by the horns and said "go for it." Supposedly I have thick nose cartiledge, or maybe he just peirced it crooked? So when he put the needle in and got the ring in I thought I was in the clear he was like "oh, not much bleeding" and right at that second blood just started flowin… Read how I did it…

I was pondering for a really long time why I wouldn’t sleep in my bed. Sleeping on the couch for almost two years was interesting. Having a perfectly good bed.. and that is an understatement because my bed is like a little slice of heaven and the couch was a twill nightmare.
Okay, at first I told myself that it was because it was too comfortable and I wouldnt get up for work in the morning if I was that comfortable. I suppose to some degree this is correct.. being a morning person is easier when you are dying to actually get up due to discomfort.
Well here is the thing I realized that I don’t like sleeping alone. So I would park it on the couch with the tv and and listen to the tv all night. Its funny how you realize that you have always been a certain way, when I was little I religiously slept with my parents and then when my brother was super little I would sleep in his bed with him. My room mate and I slept in the same bed… I could explain it and rationalize it for hours. Realistically it all boils down to being afraid to be alone.
Also, you know how different places remind you of different things? When I lay down in bed I think of all the different people that have been in my life to some capacity…its like the bed connects all these different parts of my life, people I loved and lost, good times and heartbreaking times. Its just so strange to see how it all ties in to that.
I feel so insane rationalizing it but it makes so much sense.
