Honestly, I can’t understand why it is customary when one is to get into the water, to take clothes off and then put other clothes (i.e. a swimsuit) back on. The whole concept I think is bizarre, why get dressed to get in the water? Also, skinny dipping in hot springs is DA BOMB

It’s fun and a cheap thrill. If you are in Nor. Cal., I can tell you where to go.

May 2003. This was one of my all time favorite day-hikes, and it was a good workout but not too difficult. On a brisk windy day, took the local bus to a trailhead on the north (or was it east?) side, and proceeded up the well-defined footpath. The views of post-glacial terrain are very beautiful, Yr Wyddfa itself being an arete. Descended via footpath along the cog railway route to Llanberis, a lovely little town, and treated myself to a well-earned pot of hot tea at the charming Pen-y-ceunant cafe near the end of the trail. What a nice day that was.
