OMG! I fell off the wagon in a big way. I have not posted to this site since June 3rd (almost 4 months ago). During my absence, I managed to accomplish three major goals:
- I went to Paris for 7 days (in September)
- I went to Rome for 9 days (in September)
- I’m still faithfully saving $12/day
I can’t recall accomplishing anything else. In fact, I think I regressed in a lot of areas, mainly I gained weight. I am now 176 lbs (the heaviest I have ever been).
Starting tomorrow no, make that today, I plan to rededicate myself to my goals and cheer others towards theirs.

How I did it: For some, watching movies on dvd or going to the movies requires no effort at all. This is not the case with me. I always think that I don't have time. There is too much other, more important stuff to do. And so with this attitude, I rarely watch movies at home or in the movie theater. However, I know that I'm missing out on some really great films. So I decided to make a goal of it to watch at least four movies from t… Read how I did it…
How I did it: Before purchasing my ticket, I saved enough money for my entire trip to Rome, Italy to ensure that I could actually afford to go. Then, I checked the travel sites to compare prices and travel options. I looked for direct non-stop flights or flights with only 1 stop. If the flight had 1 stop, I looked for those that had a short layover. I looked for flights that had the shortest "total travel time" I didn't buy the cheapest t… Read how I did it…
How I did it: I opened a savings account (a few years ago). I started this goal to save $10/day on 12/31/2009. I planned to end this goal on 12/31/2010. That's 366 days x $10.00/day = $3,660. For the first two months of 2010 I actually transferred $10 each day from my checking account into my savings account just so that I could get into the habit of actually saving $10/day. However, later I simply transferred the appropriate amount of funds on… Read how I did it…
